Hazard Wants Chelsea's Move
According to Spanish outlet Marca, Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard, is set to hold talks with Carlo Ancelotti as he eyes a return to Chelsea. The Belgian winger spent seven years at Stamford Bridge before leaving for Los Blancos. He had a tough time under Zinedine Zidane but Ancelotti’s appointment from Everton gave his Madrid future some hope. However, despite the Italian manager’s fondness of the 30-year-old, Hazard wants to return to Chelsea where he is viewed as a club hero.
Updates On Haaland
Chelsea are one of the clubs to have been most seriously linked with Erling Haaland this transfer market, but they need to free up space and funds if they are to make a convincing bid for the Borussia Dortmund striker. This is why they are reportedly looking to move Timo Werner on from the club, just one year after signing him from RB Leipzig for 53m euros. So keen are they to sign Haaland that Chelsea even offered Werner to Borussia Dortmund as a makeweight, according to Sky Sports Alemania.
Scott Carson signs for Manchester City
Manchester City have announced Scott Carson has joined the club on a permanent basis after signing a one-year contract. The veteran goalkeeper first joined City on loan from Derby in 2019, and that agreement was extended for another 12 months last summer. However, the 35-year-old - who has been behind No 1 Ederson and his deputy Zack Steffen in the pecking order at City - has now joined Pep Guardiola's squad permanently after his deal at Pride Park expired earlier this summer.
Tammy Abraham should be looking to leave Chelsea this summer, insists Carlton Cole
Tammy Abraham should be looking for a way out of Chelsea this summer because Thomas Tuchel 'doesn't fancy him', according to Carlton Cole. The 23-year-old has barely featured for the Blues since the German's arrival in January, making just two appearances for the club after the middle of February and being left out of the squad for the FA Cup and Champions League finals. Abraham has netted 30 goals in 82 appearances for Chelsea since breaking into the first team five years ago, but has also spent three of the seasons since out on loan at Bristol City, Swansea and Aston Villa.
Barcelona make Martin Braithwaite available
Wolves have reportedly been offered Martin Braithwaite by Barcelona, as the Catalan giants look to bring down their wage bill. Barca are currently unable to register any new players - including Lionel Messi, who has reportedly agreed a new five-year deal to stay at Camp Nou - due to exceeding the La Liga salary cap. According to Mail Online, Barca have tried to tempt Wolves with Braithwaite - who was a surprise signing from Leganes, under La Liga rules allowing clubs to make emergency signings to cover for long-term injuries (in this instance, Ousmane Dembele).
